Geffen Playhouse Producing Director, Gilbert Cates, has just announced the casting for Cookin’ at the Cookery, this summer’s hot jazz musical at the Geffen Playhouse. Tony Award winning performer, Ann Duquesnay will star alongside celebrated actor and singer Montego Glover in Cookin’ at the Cookery: the Music and Times of Alberta Hunter. The first Geffen Playhouse production at the new Brentwood Theatre, Cookin’ at the Cookery is written, directed and choreographed by Marion J. Caffey, and will feature musical direction by the Grammy Award winning conductor, George Caldwell.
