Quixtar Crows Too Soon About Court Rulings, Says Poyfair
David is taking on Goliath and winning in courts across the country. Following a ruling in Michigan's Kent County Circuit Court, Friday, Quixtar representatives expressed their satisfaction in the press and on their corporate blogs. They even went so far as to assault the character of one of their former Independent Business Owners (IBOs) in an official corporate posting, says attorney D.J. Poyfair. What they aren't saying is that the company came out on the other side of the same issue in courts all across the country. In fact, according to court records and a Los Angeles newspaper, three Michigan Circuit Courts have granted Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) against Quixtar on behalf of IBOs who are afraid of the corporate giant. Nationally, the picture for Quixtar was even worse. TROs were granted to protect IBOs in five other states, and two of them in federal courts, according to court records. - 2007-08-26
