Presidential Polls Not As Valid As Claimed
An article in the current issue of News Informant explains that presidential election polls are not always accurate, despite professional pollsters’ claims of scientific validity. Polls typically claim to be accurate to within 3 to 4 percent, yet the results of different presidential election polls, such as the ones released last week, diverge by a much wider margin. Moreover, polls taken frequently will at times show a dramatic change of opinion within an incredibly short period of time. These “spikes” in opinion rarely last. Instead, to determine validity and establish trends, people should view polls by different organizations over time and look for correlating results that show evolutionary change in public opinion. - 2004-09-23

In the melee of the break up, the never-seen backstage documentary was shelved and forgotten. That is, until now.
Film editor Howard Lamden recently discovered “The Lost Documentary” in his archives and has transferred his pristine film to DVD for release. - 2004-09-25 Friend of PRWeb - 1

Federal Report/GAO Confirms Bush Giving Away $Billions in Federal College Aid to Banks, Padding Their Corporate Profits at College Students' and Taxpayers' Expense
The Government Accountability Office (GAO) confirmed that George W. Bush Jr. is going out of his way to do special favors for banks administering student loans, diverting resources that could be used to help students paying tuition. While government subsidies have exploded, the New York Times reports that the Bush administration has strong political connections to lenders. “Indeed, [Don R.] Bouc was appointed by the department to serve on a financial aid advisory committee.” And quarterly payments from the government to his company have expanded more than ten-fold since the end of 2002, from $4.6 million to more than $48 million in June.
