HUNDREDS OF THE COUNTRYS BEST SPORTSCARS AND CLASSICS TO CROSS THE BLOCK AT CANADAS LARGEST CLASSIC CAR AUCTION

Hundreds of Sport, Classic and Custom Vehicles Up For Auction At Three-Day Weekend Event –October 24-26, 2003 at The International Centre in Mississauga

BLENHEIM, Ontario, Canada (PRWEB)October 6, 2003) – Some of the countrys best original, and desirable, collectors cars will headline RM Classic Cars Fall International Classic Car Auction, held at the International Center, October 24-26, 2003 and sponsored by the Ontario Ford Dealers Association.

RM Classic Cars has assembled an impressive list of sports, classic and performance vehicles, for the sale, in addition to an array of automotive collectables and memorabilia.

One of the most original and lowest mileage Thunderbirds ever offered for sale has attracted international interest from the collector car market. This remarkable automobile has clocked a mere 7,400 miles since new and retains its untouched, original condition which is evident in the factory crayon markings it received on the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan nearly a half century ago!

This event continues to attract the best classic cars and serious buyers from Canada and the U.S.” says Rob Myers, founder of RM Auctions. Theres never been a better time to invest in a collector car and this event has some exceptional, low mileage examples you wont find anywhere else.”

Some of the auction offerings include:

· 1956 Ford Thunderbird 2-Seat Roadster – Undoubtedly, one of the most original untouched and unrestored early T-Birds. This time capsule still has its factory original paint finish that remains in nice condition. It also has its original chrome trim and interior. A look under the hood will reveal that the original factory paint stamps and factory crayon markings are still intact – even on the cylinder heads! Not only is this one of the lowest mileage Thunderbirds in existence, but it is also nicely equipped with options including automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, windshield washers, Town & Country radio, padded dash, wire basket wheel covers, factory continental kit, fender skirts, Firestone wide white wall tires, black Haartz Cloth soft top and factory hard top.

· 1969 Chevrolet Yenko” Camaro – Daytona yellow exterior with black interior and black vinyl top. Powered by Chevrolets famous 427 ci. L72 engine. Features include power steering, power brakes, 12-bolt B.E. rear-end, torque thrust rims and Polyglas tires. A very nice restored original Yenko Camaro with complete documentation.

· 1959 Ford Galaxie Retractable” Convertible – 352ci. V8 engine with automatic transmission. Frame off nut and bolt restoration of a rust free 65,000-mile car. This spectacular example is the last year of production for the retractable. The car comes from the collection of a Ford Dealer, who is selling this car to the highest bidder at NO RESERVE!”

· 1966 Pontiac GTO Tri-Power” Convertible – This Oregon car has a 389 cubic inch tri-power V8 with four-speed transmission. Features include console, tachometer and gauges, factory AM/FM radio-reverberator, sport steering wheel, windshield washers, emergency flashers, day/night mirror, remote trunk release, power drivers seat, full seat belts, head rests, power top, under hood light, trunk light, power disc brakes, power steering, rally one wheels, backup lights, four core radiator, tinted glass and 12-bolt posi-rear axle. The car has undergone an extensive frame-off restoration. It has a detailed undercarriage and engine bay. Mechanicals have been rebuilt and engine has been balanced. Documentation includes Pontiac Historic Services paperwork and a copy of the original build sheet. A totally rust-free body with no replacement panels completes the package.

· 1932 Ford V-8 Hot Rod – A ‘black plate California car, this roadster has been nicely detailed throughout and is powered by a supercharged flathead V8 with finned & polished aluminum heads, dual exhaust, and a three-speed transmission. A black Haartz cloth convertible top complements the car. Inside, the interior is appointed in leather upholstery along with a ‘banjo steering wheel and Stewart-Warner gauges. A look underneath the car will reveal colour-coordinated frame and floor pans refinished to match the exterior. Suspension is chromed both front & rear, as is the Halibrand rear end.

An exciting special addition to the event is an authentic autographed Rolling Stones album personally signed by all four members - Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity, this historic rock and roll treasure will be auctioned on Saturday, October 25th.

Weve been hosting this Toronto auction for over twenty years, and this event has one of the best lineups of show quality, low mileage classics in the country.” says Dan Spendick of RM Auctions. We also have a number of high performance muscle cars and exotic sports cars to cross the block as well.” Its really the event of the year to attend if you are looking to buy or sell a classic car. And great cars, make a great investment.”
