The Rotary Club of Amherst East (New York) will host a wine tasting on November 7, 2003, to raise funds for local causes.
Amherst, NY(PRWEB) October 9, 2003 – The Rotary Club of Amherst East invites any adult interested in fine wine to attend its annual wine tasting event on November 7. The wine tasting event will take place from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm at Daffodils Restaurant, 930 Maple Road, Williamsville, NY.
We hold our wine tasting every year to raise money for two causes," said George Oliver, president of the Rotary Club of Amherst East. The proceeds from this years event will benefit the Williamsville East High School Scholarship Fund, and at least one other local community project."
The Amherst East wine tasting event drew 140 people last year, raising $4,050. Participants can taste more than two dozen different wines coming from California, Oregon, New York, Canada, France, Italy, Australia, Argentina, and other countries. The Rotary Club also serves hot and cold appetizers.
We have some wonderful raffle prizes for participants that local businesses and Rotary members have donated," said Sally Draper, Rotary club member, president of Clearfield Liquor in Williamsville, and club wine tasting organizer. Some of our top prizes include a week in a Myrtle Beach, SC, condo; a summer 2004 sailing package at Point Albino, Canada; and 24 bottles of wine in a beautiful wine rack." In addition to these large prizes, the club offers dozens of prizes donated by local businesses and Rotary members in its raffle.
Tickets to the Rotary wine tasting event on November 7 cost $25.00 each.
