ProProject.com Moves to Boston Under New Ownership

A new president, a sales wing, and developers reinvigorate this fiesty startup.

WOBURN, MA (PRWEB) Oct. 18, 2003 -- Proproject.com was conceived in the development cubicles of the all new Afternic.com. Their flagship ASP product is an innovative time tracking and reporting system. ProProject ASP is web-native and eliminates the need for a company to spend real dollars on IT infrastructure and support, which is known throughout the industry as one of the main sources of all high-tech headaches.

"This isn't rocket science," said ProProject's new CEO Karle Schlieff. "There are millions of workers out there that must account for some level of time and project reporting. ProProject let's them do it from any web browser, anytime, anywhere. We provide the software, the servers, and a very secure web experience. All they do is login and point and click their way through a personalized web time sheet. In seconds they are back doing real work, the work that they are being paid to perform. No more tracking down forms, no more filling them out, finding a copier, making the copies, getting the fax to work, faxing them over to Marge, who then has to decipher and collate and figure who is missing and then call them up and remind them...you get the idea. Imagine all that wasted time and effort and all of it before the billing and reporting cycle can even begin."

"The great people over at Afternic.com decided to concentrate their resources on the domain registration industry," continued CEO Karle Schlieff, "ProProject was sitting there, earning its keep with customers in place, but just not growing. After some really pleasant negotiations and going down to Florida, we struck a deal. ProProject will be heading back to Boston where we are putting the final touches on the website and offices. Sales and Marketing is crucial over the next six months and we are also starting the development on two backend interfaces that our customers have been asking for."

ProProject is available by subscription only. This elimnates the IT infrastructure requirements of all other types of software. It is the perfect vehicle for any company trying to take the first few steps into IT outsourcing.

The pricing of ASP subcription products is one of the reasons they are viewed as true values. For a few dollars per month per seat, a customer has the full capabilities of the toolset without any of the software resident on their desktops or servers. ProProject's Service Level Agreement (SLA) spells out the data security techniques, backup schedules, redundant technologies from front to back, and the disaster recovery plan. "The customer's data is safe and secure," said Mr. Schlieff. "That is the big message we are trying to get across. We have telephone and email support, we can customize the tool, and we can keep the availabilty of ProProject at 100%, every day.

ProProject's first commercial offering is aimed at the time keeping, project time accounting marketplace.
