Northfield, IL (PRWEB) October 20, 2003 -- Registration is well underway for the Capstone / Foundation International Challenge, a worldwide, Internet-based contest for business students. The Challenge, based on the Capstone and Foundation Business Simulations, involves students from the 500 colleges and universities world-wide, using these programs for management education.

Students form teams to manage simulated corporations. They make decisions in Research and Development, Marketing, Production, Human Resources and Finance. Each simulated corporation competes with five other corporations, for eight simulated years. The winning teams achieve the highest profits, sales, market share, stock price and other measures.

The Challenge, which runs every spring and fall, is sponsored by Management Simulations, Inc. The adoption of the Capstone and Foundation simulations by colleges and universities, all over the world, grew by more than 40% last year,” said Dan Smith, president of MSI. More than 120,000 students have used the programs, making them the most popular business simulations in the world. So this year we expect another dramatic increase in entries to the Competition.

Capstone and Foundation represent the first, and possibly the last, time some students will experience managing a major corporation," says Smith. Thats why they enter the Challenge. They can win only glory, but they experience the joys of learning, managing, teamwork and competition.”

The Challenge is free to all registered Capstone and Foundation business simulation students. Registrants go to www.capsim.com and click Fall Challenge, 2003.” Registration ends Thursday, October 30, 2003.
