The NAFTA Logistics Summits will bring together key business & civic leaders along the South Texas border, to discuss the present and future state of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and its impact on organizations doing business in the area.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (PRWEB) November 7, 2003 -- Air Road Express (Air Road), a leading provider of outsourced Supply Chain Management and time definite transportation services based in Indianapolis, announces their sponsorship of the NAFTA Logistics Summit series.

The NAFTA Logistics Summits will bring together key business & civic leaders along the South Texas border, to discuss the present and future state of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and its impact on organizations doing business in the area. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at the Cimarron Country Club in Mission, TX, starting at 11AM and will feature guest speaker Mike Allen, President & CEO of the McAllen Economic Development Council. The McAllen Economic Development Council has helped create over 75,000 jobs in the Reynosa, Mexico and McAllen, TX areas since 1988.

The summit will be hosted by Steve Robinson, President & CEO of Air Road, Fidel Vargas, former Mayor of Baldwin Park, CA and a principle of Reliant Equity Investors and Dr. Alberto Vasquez, a Supply Chain and Transportation Optimization expert affiliated with Air-Road Advisory Services. Steve Robinson possesses over 25 years of logistics and supply chain management experience. Mr. Robinson is particularly well known as one of the key strategists behind Wal-Mart's tremendous Supply Chain success having contributed with both high level strategic and operational achievements as VP of Supply Chain Management and VP of Global Logistics for the world's largest retailer. Fidel Vargas, the former Mayor of Baldwin Park, California, is the Vice President of Business Development at Reliant Equity Partners and holds a MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Vargas also serves on President Bushs Social Security Privatization Committee. Dr. Alberto Vasquez has extensive consulting experience in all areas of Supply Chain Planning and Execution. He had worked at Sabre Systems and was a supply chain technology expert at i2 Technologies. At Sabre, Dr. Vasquez was instrumental in the implementation of the Arriving Flight Automated Control Program for American Airlines which earned him nomination for the 1990 Franz Edelman Award from the Institute of Management Science. Dr. Vasquez was the 4th employee at i2 where he launched the Consumer Goods and Manufacturing Markets for the supply chain technology giant.
