SANBlaze Technology Announces High Performance PMC SCSI Adapter Family

SANBlaze Technology announces a complete SCSI product family for embedded computing solutions. The SB-PMC320 and SB-PMC160 family deliver Ultra320 and Ultra160 SCSI perfomance in a PCI Mezzanine (PMC) form factor

Maynard, MA (PRWEB) November 11, 2003 –- SANBlaze Technology, Inc., a provider of unique and leading edge networking and storage solutions, today introduced a complete family of PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) SCSI adapters . The SB-PMC320 is a dual port, Ultra320 SCSI PMC adapter, providing a high performance SCSI solution with RAID functionality to the embedded computing market. The Raid capabilities of the SB-PMC320 allow for system designers and OEMs to take advantage of the Ultra320 speed and performance, as well as incorporate Raid 0 and Raid 1 capabilities into their designs. The SB-PMC320 board supports 32/64 Bit and 33/66 MHz PCI bus, as well as 133 MHz, 64 Bit PCI-X.    The SB-PMC320 board is available in four options. The dual channel version is available with either 2 front panel ports via 68 pin VHDCI connectors or 1 front panel and 1 rear I/O port (via J/P 4). The single channel version of the card is available with either a single front panel port or a single rear I/O port. These options allow for maximum design flexibility, while delivering the high performance and Raid functionality of Ultra320 in a PMC form factor.

In addition to the Ultra320 series cards, SANBlaze is also releasing the SB-PMC160 series of Ultra160 SCSI PMC cards. Available in both single and dual channel versions, with the same I/O options as the SB-PMC320 series, the SB-PMC160 provides 160 Mbytes per second on two channels, delivering fast throughput and reliable data transfers. The SB-PMC160 supports 64 bit/66 MHz PCI bus speeds, and provides front panel connectivity through 68 Pin VHDCI connectors.

By offering a full complement of I/O options, as well as the latest in SCSI speeds and standards, the SANBlaze SCSI PMC family is able to address most embedded system SCSI design requirements. For a design where the commercially available versions of the SCSI PMC product family do not meet the specific or unique requirements, SANBlaze has the staff, flexibility and experience to provide a custom, customer specified solution quickly and cost effectively.

The SANBlaze SB-PMC320 and SB-PMC160 PMC SCSI product family support most major operating systems, and are available immediately.
