Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 24, 2003 - Multi-Platinum rapper/actor Ludacris is providing a Thanksgiving to remember for needy Atlanta families this Thanksgiving. Ludacris provided 1,800 Thanksgiving Food Boxes through his non-profit organization The Ludacris Foundation. The Food Boxes filled with Turkeys, canned goods, desserts and more were distributed to families in the low-income housing communities of Bankhead Courts, Hollywood Courts, and Herndon Homes.
It feels good to be able to give back to the community, especially to those that are often forgotten," said Ludacris. Over the weekend Ludacris stopped by the Marsha Walker Community Center(Bankhead-Atlanta, GA) to visit with volunteers from the various communities who participated in the food box distribution. Children from the various communities also participated in a letter writing campaign to US Troops abroad and were rewarded with the opportunity to attend the event with their families. Chicken -n- Root Beer were served to the 300 attendees.
The Ludacris Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization established in 2001 to sustain Ludacris commitment to make a difference in the lives of youth. The Foundations programs and outreach efforts reach youth of all ages across the country.
