Farmers must stop defending agriculture!

It is time we stop defending agriculture and get on the offense in food production. Instead of waiting for these domestic terrorists to destroy our farms and ranches, we need to take action," said Loos. We need to let consumers know that what we do is vital to our national security.

Madison, WI (PRWEB) November 28 2003--– Sixth generation farmer Trent Loos is encouraging producers to stop defending agriculture against activist groups and anti-ag organizations. It is time we stop defending agriculture and get on the offense in food production. Instead of waiting for these domestic terrorists to destroy our farms and ranches, we need to take action," said Loos. We need to let consumers know that what we do is vital to our national security. We are not going to let these well-funded radicals run us out of business through frivolous lawsuits, attacks on our personal property and slanderous messages to the consumers. It is time we give them the wake-up call they have been waiting for."

Loos will address dairy leaders from across the state when they gather in Madison for the fourth annual Dairy Business Association Business Conference. The conference will be held December 3-4, 2003 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and the theme will be Building the Power to Change".

The conference agenda will feature panels and speakers that will address Agricultural Modernization Protection in the state of Wisconsin. As the state struggles to keep its ranking as the number one cheese producing state in the country, how will new regulations affect dairy producers? Numerous environmental and legislative issues will be addressed by experts in the field.

Industry leaders and producers will learn media communication skills, discuss environmental and legal issues and network with fellow dairy producers from across the state during the two-day conference.

The conference is open to members and non-members of the Dairy Business Association. Conference registration information is available by contacting Michelle Philibeck at the Dairy Business Association (920-788-7588) or on-line at www.widba.com
