Oklahoma City National Memorial Store Debuts ‘The Declaration of Independence Song, a Fun, New Educational Sing-Along for Teachers and Students

Visitors to the Oklahoma City National Memorial will find a creative, new audio CD single on sale in the Museum Store during the month of December. The new CD, ‘The Declaration of Independence Song is a fun, sing-along that helps students learn the words of the Declaration of Independence in a fun way.

(PRWEB) December 4 2003--Created by 4th grader Steffy Boyd and her family to help her master a school memorization assignment, this new song offers teachers and students a fun way to remember and recite the famous words of Thomas Jefferson. Steffy, now 15, who also performs the vocals on the CD, said, Singing the words makes learning easy and fun!"

The Oklahoma City National Memorial draws visitors from across the globe to its world class museum chronicling the Oklahoma City bombing of April 1995. In addition, the Museum hosts numerous exhibits throughout the year. We are always looking for creative, new, educational materials to offer our visitors. ‘The Declaration of Independence Song CD is a great, new resource that offers teachers and parents a fun way to teach the key phrases of The Declaration of Independence," said Joanne Riley, Museum Operations Director.

Since Sept 11, Americas leaders have discovered a disturbing fact: many Americans dont know much about our countrys founding documents, including the Declaration of Independence. An ABC News poll reported recently that only 17% of Americans expressed any familiarity with the Declaration of Independence of July 4, 1776," said Jack Boyd, Steffys father, who performed the music and produced the CD.

We are happy to partner with Oklahoma City National Memorial to make the ‘The Declaration of Independence Song available to patrons in the museum store," added Mr. Boyd.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial is located at 620 N Harvey Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73102; Phone: 405-235-3313. To find out more about the ‘Declaration of Independence Song and listen to a preview, visit Boyds website, www.declarationsong.com.
