Shares his story and his quest to change laws
On The Edge with Kathy Fettke

San Francisco - December is National Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention Month and in remembrance to those who have lost their lives to alcohol or drug related incidents, Kathy Fettke is announcing month of December shows will focus on addiction related issues.

On December 7, Bob Pack will be a very special guest on The Edge with Kathy Fettke. Bob lost his two children just over a month ago to a hit and run driver while walking on a sidewalk near their Danville home. The driver denied being under the influence of alcohol but had been arrested for driving under the influence four times and had been convicted of drunk driving and disorderly conduct. Her license had been suspended nine times, her insurance was cancelled and yet she continued to drive.

Bob is working with Senator Tom Torlakson on 3 new bills including new proposals to Stop the Cycle of Repeat Offenders and Dangerous Drivers. They will be presenting these bills in February to Congress.

The driver of the car was a nanny to many prominent people in the Bay area. Bobs proposal for Improved Public Safety will include one that ensures that Nannys and other caregivers provide Driving records to employers.

Bob and his wife Carmen have founded the Troy and Alana Pack Foundation" in memory of their children. The monies raised will go towards supporting local schools and youth activities, supporting the MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) organization and supporting the legislation efforts.
