Solid is seeing an increasing interest in its products in the Asian/Pacific market, especially in the network infrastructure, and high-end consumer devices and the infrastructure needed to support them. Advani is expected to expand these market beachheads and carry Solid into major new opportunities. Advani will report to Solid Chief Executive Officer, Jussi Harvela, will participate on the Solid Executive Team and will become a Representative Director of Solid KK, the companys Japanese subsidiary.

Advani has over ten years experience in selling technology into the Asia/Pacific markets. He was instrumental in introducing off-the-shelf real-time operating systems (RTOS) into the Japanese market. He comes to Solid from eSol, where as CMO, he brought open source software to the Japanese market, building relationships with key vendors in the industry. Prior to eSol, Advani held senior management roles at EnThink, Wipro, Wind River and Integrated Systems.
