Public Relations Conference Commences 'The Big Vote' Government Trust Email Marketing Campaign

The Public Relations Conference The PR Showcase Commences Email Marketing Campaign With Martin Sixsmith Ahead of PR Conference and Exhibition in September 2003

(PRWEB) August 29, 2003 -- PR Showcase 2003 http://www.prshowcase.net, the UKs largest PR conference and workshop for PR and media professionals has begun pushing its email marketing campaign called The Big Vote, to boost the buzz for its conference next month.

The campaign is to drive more relevant and targeted traffic ahead of the public relations conference, workshops and seminars to be held on 23rd and 24th September 2003. Questions from conference speakers stir debate on topical issues that affect the industry will be presented to recipients via email to vote, leading up to the conference.

Richard Weston, Managing Director at Evensis http://www.evensis.com, the event management company who are organising the event explains, We have some marvellous conference speakers such as Martin Sixsmith, who have kicked off ‘The Big Vote with a great question that hits the core of what is happening right now. This is a topic that will be followed up at the conference itself along with Martin Sixsmith and David Bickford. The first question asks ‘If it came to a question of trust, would you side with the present government's explanation of a particular event rather than with that of the BBC?"

Weston adds, Those that participate will be directed to the PR Showcase website where they can see the results as they progress. The results from the vote will be used as a point of discussion at all the conferences at PR Showcase. ‘The Big Vote will be running up to the conference with a variety of questions being asked of potential delegates by leading professionals and guest speakers at the conference. The questions will also be hosted on the PR Showcase website at http://www.prshowcase.net/big-vote.html, where the responses will be collated and used as points of discussion during the conferences. We will be tracking and measuring the performance of the email campaign in real time, with web analytics / metrics via WebtraffIQs http://www.webtraffiq.com tracking software.

The database for the campaign has be grown via direct marketing with the first set of inserts in PR Week http://www.prweek.com, brochures sent out to potential delegates, opt-in emails through Evensis partners and from the marketing of the PR Showcase conference to date.
