New initiatives from Komo machine are leading the CNC router industry. Komo is delivering cutting-edge software, addressing new markets with new CNC routers, delivering the only true 24x7 live customer support and adding many products "downstream" of the CNC routing process to their lines.
Sauk Rapids, MN (PRWEB) August 6, 2003 -- Komo Machine, Inc. announces the first four initiatives in a series designed to both solidify the companys position as the domestic leader in complete CNC router solutions serving the woodworking and solid surface manufacturing industries and to support the companys overall growth and development.
First, Komo is launching the Router-CIM 2004 Automation Suite, the most significant software development in the CNC routing industry in five years. Router-CIM 2004 is the first to provide automation for non-nested-based output and the ability to plan and schedule work jobs for the machining of such pieces as cabinets, doors, windows and countertops from such standard software as Microsoft® Excel or Access. This innovative software further supports the industry by reducing job planning time from as many as 40 hours to as little as one hour, potentially eliminating the need for a separate CNC router software programmer.
In a second initiative, the company is expanding its market opportunity in a three-fold manner. First it is introducing an exclusive distributorship for a new line of CNC routers that will enable the company to garner a share of the over $50 million small to medium size CNC router market—a market that is new for Komo. Second, it is launching the new Komo-built VR1205 Mach II S, a CNC router for customers who require a large machining envelope.
Third, Komo has established a partnership for sales and support of their flagship line of Komo-built CNC routers into Europe. In a third initiative, the company has secured another exclusive distributorship for a line of boring and drilling machines here in the US, increasing its product reach. And finally, Komo is expanding its authorized factory technology and service centers nationwide.
The most significant changes in the CNC routing industry are occurring at the software automation level, largely due to Komos innovations in this area. With the release of Router-CIM 2004, Komo continues its tradition of being the innovator in software development for the industry, says Tom Azzarelli, President of Komo Machine, Inc.
The second-most significant change in the industry is in service and support, again metrics established by Komo and continued with our new initiatives. Lastly, by expanding our market opportunity to the small to medium size market as well as internationally, we are positioning the company to take advantage of a global market opportunity."
The initiatives are a continuation of Komos success, one grounded in an ability to adjust to market opportunities and demands over the 37 years the company has been in business. Komos parent company placed its CIM-Tech software company under Komo in order to lead the industry in CNC Router software. The company has also leap-frogged" the industry in service and support metrics, establishing the first truly live, personal service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and launching the first CNC industry regional and local factory-authorized technology and service centers to ensure an elite level of customer service and support.
Along with these new initiatives, there will be changes in Komos corporate structure with the company shifting its entire focus to its core CNC router business and the new automation software. This shift will enable all corporate resources to be targeted to the areas where the company is best poised for future growth and expansion. Over the next four to six months the company will phase out its factory automation for home appliances division. Komo will complete existing contracts and will continue to service its existing customers. Though the ensuing changes will mean a restructuring of manpower, the company will make every effort to reposition staff affected by this change either internally or via outplacement support.
