Have you had professional telecom training? If you lack the confidence that only knowledge provides, Auditel Inc. of Florida can give you the assurance that only comes when you are the best in your field. Auditel Inc. of Florida will teach you the skills you need to feel confident and in control, in a world where you feel just like a number.

(PRWEB) September, 2003 -- We see the headlines everyday; Telecom Leads Layoff List", 2.5 Million Jobs Lost", Telecom Slump Continues". The ongoing layoffs in the telecom industry have left tens of thousands jobless. In a June 3, 2003 article in Computerworld, staff editor Todd R. Weiss stated, There have been 54,278 technology and telecommunications job cuts worldwide so far this year".

In an August 14, 2003 article in Daily Herald.com staff writer Anna Marie Kukec stated, By late September, Lucent Technologies will have eliminated more than 60 % of its global workforce since 2001 – a total of 71,000 positions".

In prepared remarks delivered to the House Committee on Small Business, June 18, 2003, John Challenger, CEO at Challenger, Gray and Christmas, Inc. stated, Since February 2001 (two and a quarter years), with the economy in recession, there have been 2.5 million jobs lost. As the economy expands and contracts, so do jobs". In a July 11, 2003 article in Ecommerce Times it was noted that the outplacement firm, Challenger, Gray and Christmas, Inc. have tracked some 650,000 announced layoffs since the start of 2003. Challenger told the E-Commerce Times Layoffs by electronics firms actually doubled in the quarter to 26,270. Job cuts at computer makers rose 29 percent, and e-commerce firms laid off 28 percent more workers than a year ago. Many of the jobs lost in these industries may not come back," Challenger said.

We must remember that the effect of the telecom industrys downturn reaches beyond headlines and into the lives of actual people. As an employee of a telecommunications auditing firm, my work puts me in constant communication with the phone companies and I hear the stories every day.

It has been my experience that many of these professionals are currently looking for a fresh start and possibly the chance to create their own opportunities. The massive job cuts, the lack of job prospects, and the forewarnings of continuing bleakness have left them ready for a change; and for the type of person who makes the most out of any situation, it can be an opportunity to change their life for the better. Because of this my company, Auditel, Inc., has developed training workshops to provide for that need.

If you aren't considered the "go to" person in your company, you need to change things. Otherwise the term "unemployed" may be knocking on your door.

Auditels telecommunications audit training teaches students the thought and procedural processes that enable them to identify and correct telecom billing inaccuracies, thus providing a valuable service. A proven, detailed auditing process is taught through hands on experience with actual telecom bills.

One student writes, Auditel's course includes ample, comprehensive class exercises to simulate the experience of managing the entire bill auditing process. With these simulations, the trainee instantly experiences what it's like to conduct a real bill audit." In addition, entrepreneurial students are also taught how to sell and invoice for their services. On the very first day of the workshop they learn to make from $100-$200 on each bill, prior to actual bill auditing.

Along with the training come materials essential to the day-to-day operations of a telecommunications auditing firm that would normally take a start-up company many years to develop. By the third day of training, Auditels students usually say that the software alone was worth the entire cost of the workshop. The software has been designed to serve as a multifunctional tool, allowing companies to easily access, make changes to, track, maintain and store all telecommunications information. A list of all a companys circuits, their locations, line identification, line type, and existing contract information for each service are just some of the built- in features.

Telecommunications audit training can give those affected by the layoffs the ability to use their background and knowledge to start a variety of different businesses, all of which can flourish in any economy. Throughout the training, entrepreneurs are exposed to all types of subject matter, such as data, disaster recovery, local, and long distance, allowing them to identify their strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes. A student may find the process of auditing local bills tedious, but they might rock and roll with the frame relay," says Barbara Clements, President and Senior Instructor at Auditel. This way they are able to find their niche within the telecom industry without the usual hard knocks. Or if they are a real go getter they can do it all!"

It is a kind of poetic justice that an industry fraught with instability can provide, because of their disorder, job security for these new business owners. A July 31, 2003 article written by Andrew Backover, states Phone company billing complaints jumped 5,523 in the first three months of 2003, up 65% from a year earlier, the Federal Communications Commission says." In the same article SBC says it spends hundreds of millions of dollars a year to improve billing. In some states, it has simplified bills. It is hiring more people to resolve disputes that arise when other companies, such as a long-distance carrier, put charges on the SBC bills that go to customers. Most often, customer complaints center on being overcharged, rising fees and confusing bills.

Companies in every industry are looking for ways to cut costs, thus the massive layoffs. I feel so very lucky to be in a business that can provide job security and a service of which I can be proud. I would like to encourage all those affected by layoffs in the telecom industry to invest in Auditels training workshops; because telecommunications auditing is an innovative way to remove wasteful and often erroneous spending from any companys telecom budget and a great way to prevent future staff reductions.
