Nationally aired 3D animated TV series created by small Utah based company.

Eggington Productions, a Utah based 3D animation company, has created a television series for PBS called "X-Power." For the first time ever, Jr. high school students can learn algebra through the same creative visually rich medium used to create such hits as Finding Nimo, Monsters Inc. and Ice Age.

Pleasanton, UT (PRWEB) September 19 2003--For the past two years in a basement office in Pleasant Grove, Utah, a small team of artists and animators have been hard at work creating a 3D animated educational television series called X-Power. 3D animation has captured the hearts and minds of movie goers for years and will now be used as a powerful teaching tool by educators and students around the country. For the first time ever, those learning algebra have an entertaining and educational program they can watch that will help them get a leg up in the world of Mathematics.

The X-Power series will air this month on PBS stations around the country. The series has 10 episodes in all. Each 15 minute episode follows a team of 5 young adventurers as they are enlisted to do battle against the "Others". With Holon as their trusted guide, the X-Team is armed with new ways of solving problems using Algebra. Their adventures span both space and time with the "Others" always right at their heels.

The artists and animators at Eggington Productions are very excited about this series. It marks many firsts for both Utah and the entertainment industry. It is the first animated educational television series targeting Jr. High school level mathematics. It makes algebra so fun to learn that the students that were used in screening the series were requesting more. It is the first nationally aired 3D animated television series ever created by a Utah based company.

Eggington Productions is a 3D animation company which, for the past 7 years, has produced content for video games, interactive media and television commercials for a wide range of clients. This two and a half hour series proves that they are a company capable of tackling any project. Still in the early development stages in the sketchbooks and computers at Eggington Productions are movie scripts and short film ideas that are just waiting to be brought to life. With movies such as Finding Nemo, Shrek, Ice Age and Monsters Inc. each drawing in hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office, Eggington hopes that this series will draw the attention of investors hoping to tap into this amazing new form of entertainment.

X-Power was produced by Slim Goodbody Corp. and is being distributed by GPN Educational Media.
