Houston and Ft Bend County Kids will Waddle and Play in $24 Million Dollars, for Three Days! March 05 – 07, 2004, Stafford, TX USA

Houston, TX – September 24, 2003 – Yes, It Will Feel Good as kids waddle and play in the new, $24 Million Dollar Stafford Centre. They will be the first to experience and see the Grand Opening of the New Stafford Centre, featuring the 1st Annual Stafford-Sugarland Childrens Festival. On Friday, March 05th, the Mayor of Stafford will make a Grand Introduction to start the fun, with a Grand Fireworks Display later to light the way for a weekend of excitement. The festival takes place in the convention centre and festival field. It is an indoor and outdoor exciting event.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) September 24, 2003--On March 05th Childrens Festival is a dedicated to the Special Kids of Harris and Ft Bend County. The festival is not open to the general public, but a day for kids with disabilities and life challenges, including local area low-income schools. This will be their special day, filled with t-shirt designing, drawings, games, cooking demonstrations, special celebrity appearances, lunch and movie in the new, 1200 seat, Performing Arts Theatre. It is an exciting, all-expense-paid, day of fun!

Later in the evening, there is something for everyone. The Houston Symphony performs that evening in the new 1200 seat Performing Arts Theatre, after a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on the concourse. Live music follows in the Outdoor Amphitheatre to round out the night.

Saturday, March 6th and Sunday, March 7th, the Stafford-Sugarland Childrens Festival opens for the general public. There are activities for children of all ages. Everything from t-shirt decorating to the computer tech-zone, cookie decorating to cooking for kids demonstrations, financial banking activities to shopping in the pretend kids supermarket, outdoor camping and sports to wireless communications zone, carnival rides to clowns and face painting, and a visit to the International Storytelling Village, featuring stories read in many native languages by authors and local celebrities.

The Stafford-Sugarland Childrens Festival is a benefit opportunity for all children. Area charities that provide school supplies, family support and educational assistance will benefit with proceeds from the event. The festivals mission statement Spur The Imagination" will make everyone Smile.
