ESSEX, United Kingdom (PRWEB) September 25, 2003 -- Cool Focus International today announced the release of Cool Focus Design Studio v2.0, a powerful design environment that allows developers of web and intranet sites to incorporate professional Flash-based navigation and content-display components in just minutes.

From a simple 'click-and-set' interface, users choose from a wide range of unique applets, select style and behavioral options, and add their own links, previewing the result as they go. No programming or Flash experience is needed - Design Studio generates a web page containing the applet, or displays code to copy-and-paste into an existing page. For Microsoft FrontPage users, a new FrontPage add-in provides a seamless link to Design Studio, allowing one-click adding or editing of Cool Focus applets.

Pricing and Availability:
Design Studio is a freeware application for Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 95/NT 4 or higher with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher). Cool Focus applets are shareware: users can purchase licenses for any applet they decide to use by visiting the Cool Focus web site at http://www.coolfocus.net. About Cool Focus:
Trading since 1996 and incorporated in 1998, Cool Focus International Limited is a privately-owned UK software company, best known for its unrivalled range of over 80 Java and Flash applets, used by many thousands of web and intranet developers worldwide. Cool Focus applet customers include Symantec, Energis Communications, Motorola, Dell Computers and Merrill Lynch. Along with their typical use in intranet and web sites, Cool Focus applets have also been used in browser-hosted control panel applications and CD-ROM interfaces.

With its recent expansion into Windows desktop applications, Cool Focus is fast gaining recognition for innovative products such as ShellToys XP (http://www.shelltoysxp.com and http://www.prweb.com/releases/2003/3/prweb59823.php).

About Cool Focus Applets:
Cool Focus has been at the forefront of Java applet design since the late 1990s. In 2002, Cool Focus pioneered a method of creating similar applets for the Macromedia Flash Player plug-in. With the Flash Player installed on 97% of Internet-connected PCs (Source: www.macromedia.com/software/player_census/flashplayer) and applet sizes of just 6 - 12 KB, these Flash applets offer a fast and compact solution to site navigation with unparalleled browser compatibility. Like Java applets, a Cool Focus Flash applet is configured by named parameters, allowing it to be precisely styled to suit any site. Design Studio makes this configuration fast and easy, but non-Windows users can download individual applets and work from simple HTML documentation and examples.
