BMP2AVI is the easy to use software utility designed to take sequential graphical Windows bitmap (BMP) files and turn them into an animation (AVI) file with point-and-click simplicity. This major release revamps BMP2AVI from the ground-up and introduces the inverse utility AVI2BMP which extracts image and audio files from an AVI animation.
BMP2AVI - Version 2.0 of BMP2AVI adds a new wizard-style graphical user interface to complement its former command-line interface. The new version has the ability to add an audio file before generating the animation file. This new addition makes it easy for even the average computer user to start making their own frame-by-frame movies through the simple point-and-click interface. BMP2AVI is useful for creating photo albums, slide shows, claymation-like animations, and computer-rendered animations from still images. Included with BMP2AVI is a sample set of claymation-like frames of an animation called "Squish." The animation demonstrates what can be done within two hours.
AVI2BMP - BMP2AVI version 2.0 introduces a new utility that does the inverse of what BMP2AVI does. AVI2BMP takes animations and extracts individual animation frames into BMP files as well as any audio streams that are associated with the video. The unprofessional term for this activity is "ripping" as there is typically lost quality in the resulting content. This utility is designed to recover information from an AVI file, particularly when the original information has been lost.
