New platforms expand power, reporting, and customization of Servergraph/TSMŪ

Austin, TX (PRWEB) January 12, 2004 -- Servergraph today released Servergraph/TSMŪ 3.4.1 for the AIX and Solaris operating systems, expanding support for its agentless software that proactively manages and automates Tivoli Storage Manager environments. This latest version of Servergraph/TSMŪ has powerful productivity features that maximize critical hardware and software resources and reduce administration costs.

Servergraph/TSMŪ 3.4.1
Servergraph/TSMŪ 3.4.1 delivers powerful features for storage administrators and operators to boost productivity and overall reliability. Servergraph/TSMŪ is still based on agentless technology – it does not require deployment of client software. Servergraph/TSMŪ 3.4.1 contains critical features for managing backup environments, including:

•   Console to manage event and threshold alerts from sources both internal and external to Servergraph/TSMŪ. Console can be used by both administrators and operators.
•   Rules engine that will spot subtle trends in backup statistics over time, such as number of objects backed up, session rate, CPU loading, and other statistics.
•   Enhanced reporting, allowing users to create custom reports based on user policies, hardware or software platforms, user groups, or other customer-specific needs. Automated reports for backup and server status can be sent to users and groups, eliminating the need to log in to the storage servers.
•   Improved library and tape volume reporting, including automated reports.
•   Configuration is now achieved totally through Web-based forms, including restarting Servergraph/TSMŪ.
•   Updated Web interface significantly improves the look and feel of Servergraph/TSMŪ.

Servergraph/TSMŪ 3.4.1 is available now on AIX, Solaris, Linux (Redhat 8.0 and Redhat 9.0), Windows XP Professional, and Windows 2000 Server.
