A Mothers Charm TM(AMC), a designer and online retailer of unique jewelry made especially for mothers, is again hosting the popular seminar You Can Afford Adoption – Getting Started." Free and open to the public, the seminar will be held at the University of Texas at Arlington on January 31, 2004.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 8 2004--The idea of the seminar grew out of a desire to help orphaned children find loving homes. Both of the founders of AMC are adoptive mothers. To help children realize the wonders of being a part of a loving family, and help couples start or expand their families through adoption, the company designed a series of seminars.
Many agencies will participate with booths providing prospective parents information as well as four presentations. The presentation topics include: Maximizing Your Tax Benefits; Obtaining Loans and Grants; Choosing Agencies That Can Help You Financially, and Learning from Real Adoptive Families about Fund-raising and Their Experiences in the Process.
The participating organizations include Adoption – A Gift of Love, Buckner Adoption and Maternity, Buckner International Adoption, Childrens Hope International, Children Protective Services, Christian Services of the Southwest, Family Builders, Gladney Center for Adoption, International Travel, Etc., Lutheran Social Services, Nightlight Christian Adoptions, One Light Adoptions, Safehavens of Kornerstone.
The founders of AMC have penned a book based on this seminar, You Can Afford Adoption." The book provides more detailed information on affording adoption. The book, which retails for $17.50 will be available at the seminar for $15.00
The company helps support Shoes for Orphan Souls. If you would like to help provide shoes to children from all over the world, please bring a pair of new shoes to the seminar. Shoes for Orphan Souls will have a collection box. The greatest need is adult sizes 3 -9 for the older children, particularly tennis shoes, and boots.
The agency booths will be open at 9:00 a.m. in the Bluebonnet Ballroom South (inside the University Center), January 31, 2004 with the seminar beginning at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m. The booths will be open until 1:30 p.m. to allow seminar participants to discuss their personal situations with the participating agencies. About the Company
Two mothers, Kari Hunt and Ruth Ellen Heaton, who met in the process of adopting their respective sons in 2001, founded A Mothers CharmTM in September of 2002. Their boys were good friends living in the same orphanage in Russia.
