Dallas based jewelry designer to host Adoption Seminar

A Mothers Charm TM(AMC), a designer and online retailer of unique jewelry made especially for mothers, is again hosting the popular seminar You Can Afford Adoption – Getting Started." Free and open to the public, the seminar will be held at the University of Texas at Arlington on January 31, 2004.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 8 2004--The idea of the seminar grew out of a desire to help orphaned children find loving homes. Both of the founders of AMC are adoptive mothers. Many agencies will participate with booths providing prospective parents information as well as four presentations. The presentation topics include: Maximizing Your Tax Benefits; Obtaining Loans and Grants; Choosing Agencies That Can Help You Financially, and Learning from Real Adoptive Families about Fund-raising and Their Experiences in the Process.

The participating organizations include Adoption – A Gift of Love, Buckner Adoption and Maternity, Buckner International Adoption, Childrens Hope International, Children Protective Services, Christian Services of the Southwest, Family Builders, Gladney Center for Adoption, International Travel, Etc., Lutheran Social Services, Nightlight Christian Adoptions, One Light Adoptions, Safehavens of Kornerstone.
The founders of AMC have penned a book based on this seminar, You Can Afford Adoption." The book provides more detailed information on affording adoption. The book, which retails for $17.50 will be available at the seminar for $15.00

Shoes for Orphan Souls will have a collection box. The greatest need is adult sizes 3 -9 for the older children, particularly tennis shoes, and boots.

About the Company
Two mothers, Kari Hunt and Ruth Ellen Heaton, who met in the process of adopting their respective sons in 2001, founded A Mothers CharmTM in September of 2002. Their boys were good friends living in the same orphanage in Russia. Relishing the firsts" and other special moments with their newly expanded families, these career women and new mothers, who have a passion for philanthropy, decided to make another life altering change. They wanted to create a business that would provide mothers, especially adoptive mothers, a way to capture and converse about some of their precious motherhood moments, and make a difference in the world around them.

Utilizing the web, A Mothers CharmTM (www.motherscharm.com) is building a sense of community and charity. Ten percent of profits are donated to Buckner Orphan Care International, an organization that provides humanitarian aid to children globally. Additionally, the majority of profits generated by Shoes Around the World are donated to Shoes for Orphan Souls. For additional information, please contact:
