Custom Data Normalization will allow customers to design their own rules for how data returned from the VIN is formatted. In the past this format was largely dependent on the format of a primary data provider for the decoder, and application developers would have to include large amounts of code within their application to re-format the data returned from the decoded VIN. In many cases this has proven to be a large undertaking especially when dealing with large numbers of options; the VINS Harness Solution is able to decode over 400 pieces of vehicle installed equipment. Customers now have complete control over their returned dataset when using the DataOne Software VIN Decoding solution.
