Scholarships Benefit Virtual Assistant Industry Members

Virtual Assistant scholarship program benefits practicing VAs. New partnership between Alliance for Virtual Businesses and Virtual Assistance U offers continuing education and enhanced skills training opportunities for virtual assistances.

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) January 15 2004-- The Alliance for Virtual Businesses (A4VB) and Virtual Assistance U (VAU), in conjunction with A4VBs 2004 education campaign, announce a scholarship program to benefit practicing Virtual Assistants (VAs). A4VB will award a scholarship on a quarterly basis, to a qualified virtual assistant to attend VAU. To qualify the individual must be a practicing virtual assistant in business for a minimum of 6 months. The VA must demonstrate the desire to increase her level of training and dedication to the growth of her practice.

Virtual Assistants are independent entrepreneurs providing professional administrative, creative, managerial, technical, business office and/or personal support services. VAs use the most advanced means of communication, and the newest and most efficient and time saving office products and work delivery, regardless of geographic boundaries. Virtual Assistants work from their own offices, on a contractual basis, and abide by an established Code of Ethics requiring integrity, honesty and due diligence.

Sharon Williams, chairperson of A4VB states, VAU is a premiere training forum. We are excited that Ms. Janet Jordan, principal learning leader and owner of VAU, agrees that continuing education and training are the cornerstone of a successful virtual assistant practice. VAU is a supportive advocate of The A4VB. These scholarships will enhance the recipients ability to provide exceptional services to clients."

Ms. Jordan explains, VAU (http://www.VirtualAssistanceU.com) exists to facilitate the development of up-to-the-minute, relevant and compelling virtual assistant practices. The A4VB scholarships will aid a virtual assistant in developing a unique practice reflecting the values, philosophy and boundaries of the VA entrepreneur."

Applications for the first scholarship are being accepted through January 20, 2004, for February enrollment. Subsequent applications will be accepted 15 days prior to the start of the April, August and October 2004 classes. Applications are accepted via the A4VB website, (http://www.AllianceForVirtualBiz.com).
