Greer will be responsible for spearheading the advertising & public relations division of BIM, the world's first all digital interactive African American magazine. His mission: To introduce BIM's digital products to the global marketplace, by providing strong and innovative strategies.
Greer recently retired from Fairchild Semiconductor as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Interface & Logic Group. He is credited with accelerating the introduction of new products and new product families and reducing, by two-thirds, the development time required to take a new product from design to customer availability for Fairchild. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and Director of the Advanced Technologies Logic and Analog Technologies Group for Motorola.
"WT brings a strong technical background and a unique perspective to BIM," says Russell Smith, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer. "His balance of product development skills and marketing expertise will raise the bar on BIM's strategic goals for product innovation and superior customer service."
Greer has more than 25 years of experience in product engineering; holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University; an MEE from Texas Tech University and a BSEE from Prairie View A&M University. In 1997, Greer received the National Black Engineer of the Year Award from the National Society of Black Engineers, the Lincoln J. Ragsdale Outstanding Director Award from the Black Board of Directors Project and was recognized by the City of Phoenix for his work on the Civil Service Board.
