Ulysse Nardin will unveil the Blue Wave Limited Edition, a Maxi Marine Chronometer 1846, on August 11th at Greenwich Time, in Carmel, California.
Carmel CA, (PRWEB)October 3, 2004 -- Ulysse Nardin will unveil the Blue Wave Limited Edition, a Maxi Marine Chronometer 1846, on August 11th at Greenwich Time, in Carmel, California. The Blue Wave Limited Edition is a complement to the Maxi Marine Chronometer collection and is a testament to the ongoing tradition of quality and mechanical innovation that characterize Ulysse Nardin timepieces.
The Blue Wave model will be a highly collectible and valuable piece, with production limited to only 350 pieces in 18 ct rose gold and 1846 pieces in stainless steel. The timepieces moniker derives from the wave-patterned blue dial and applied luminous indexes that reveal a bluish colour when viewed in the evening. A blue rubber bracelet complements the movement and dial in addition to the non-moving metal parts of the movement, which have been treated with a blue titanium-based alloy. Where necessary, the metal parts have been reworked in order to accommodate the blue coating. An individually numbered, transparent sapphire case back offers an excellent view of this spectacular movement. The rotor of the 18 ct rose gold timepieces have been created in solid gold. The officially certified self-winding movement (C.O.S.C) features a power reserve indicator and an oversized small seconds register. As functional as it is innovative, the 41.00 mm case is water-resistant to 100 meters.
