Second DiSC® Classic Accreditation to be held in Dubai

KnowledgeWorkx and OTi Consulting bring the second DiSC® Classic Accreditation to the Gulf Region. This event will take place 7 - 8 Dec 2004 in Le Meridien (Airport) Dubai.

(PRWEB) October 5, 2004 -- Do you understand your personal strengths and style? How does your behavior affect your work and your colleagues? How can your understanding of you and your colleagues make you into a better and stronger team? Is there an interpersonal assessment tool out there that can help you understand your strong points and limitations? The answer is yes, and that tool is the DiSC® Profile.

Strong interpersonal skills are a core competency of an effective staff and leader. While some people just seem more charismatic than others, strong interpersonal skills are not luck of the draw, but can be learned and enhanced through proper interventions.

A scientific mode of measurement, through the use of psychometric tools, is often used in this process of discovering self. The DiSC® profile is a self-assessment tool that gives individuals a scientific basis for understanding their behavior as well as the behavior of others.

Based on four dimensions – dominance, influence, steadiness and conscientiousness – DiSC® is a tool that identifies your and your teams tendencies toward certain behavioral strengths and limitations in a focused environment.

To date DiSC® has been used by over 40 million people worldwide and translated into 23 languages in over 50 countries. For over 30 years, DiSC® Classic has been a standard interpersonal skills accreditation sought by the best organizations.

As an individual, reviewing your DiSC® profile should help you better understand your personal style and strengths. Once you understand your behavioral style, you will know how to better relate to and handle challenging situations with other colleagues and clients.

Teams work effectively when there is a free exchange of ideas in a safe environment. In relating to a team, DiSC® can allow for greater acceptance of each persons strengths and limitations, and can enhance the communication that leads to productive work environments.

Laying the foundation for high performance, DiSC® Classic develops staff and managers who manage others effectively, who communicate well, who know how to reduce conflict and stress, and who develop productive teams.

The DiSC® Classic assessment has been available online for many years. Now it is available for the first time in the Gulf region through a partnership between OTi Consulting and KnowledgeWorkx.
This intensive practice-oriented workshop will equip you to understand and effectively apply the DiSC® Dimensions of Behavior model in your organization or work profession. Learn to administer and interpret the DiSC® Classic.

DiSC® Classic is used worldwide in dozens of training and coaching applications and incorporated in recruitment/selection process, organizational development and performance improvement. Ease frustration and conflict, maximize communication and develop effective managers and teams using DiSC® Classic.

Upon completion of this Accreditation Program, you will be a certified DiSC® Behavioral Consultant.

The DiSC® Classic Accreditation program will be held in Dubai at the Le Meridien Airport Hotel on Dec 7 – 8 , 2004. For more details, see http://www.knowledgeworkx.com/
