The five year event marks its third return to Milwaukee.
Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) October 9, 2004 -- For a third consecutive year, GoGirlsMusic.com has chosen Brew City as one of several stops in its GoGirlsMusicFest tour. The annual event, which has become a premier showcase for female-fronted bands nationwide, is also a successful fundraiser for charity.
In Milwaukee, the fest will take place Thursday, November 4 at Shank Hall, 1434 N. Farwell. The show is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. and tickets are $10 each. In addition, the first 100 fest-goers will receive a free commemorative GoGirlsMusicFest CD.
Artists scheduled to appear at the Milwaukee show are:

• Lojo Russo, Minneapolis, MN -- www.lojorusso.com: Voted Best Female Performer by Minnesota Womens Press, Russo blends a powerful and enticingly rich use of words that makes you believe its ok to think outside the music box.
• Ovadya, Chicago, IL -- www.ovadya.net: Ovadya brings together unique musical textures into a palette of original, intense acoustic and electric neo-psychedelic rock flavored with distinct World" spice (Middle East and Celtic influences) with a dash of jazz.
• Phalaphel, Milwaukee, WI – In less than two months, Phalaphel has already perfected a pleasing combination of smooth and soulful vocals with amazing acoustic guitar work. Their emotional and melodious songs are sure to yield instant fans.
Proceeds from this years shows will benefit MusiCares. Established in 1989 by the Recording Academy, MusiCares provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need. In addition to covering a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies with integrity and confidentiality, MusiCares also focuses the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues that directly impact the health and welfare of the music community.
Since 1996, GoGirlsMusic.com has dedicated itself to bringing together independent women musicians from around the country. Eight years later, GoGirlsMusic.com has become a welcome destination for women in music through networking and events.
