eLearners Selected to Speak at First Sloan-C Online Marketing Seminar

Pre-workshop activities are held throughout this week and the Series live event will take place on Friday, October 15. C.J. During the seminar, participants will have access to three key presentations recorded in Macromedia Breeze, allowing them to see and hear the presentations whenever and as many times as they wish. The discussion boards and live session will allow participants to ask questions to presenters in both asynchronous and synchronous formats. The live synchronous online panel consisting of the presenters and an invited panelist will be held on October 15 at 10 a.m. EST, followed by asynchronous discussions among the group through July 31, 2005.

Presentations, which will be recorded and viewable this week, include:
C.J. DeSantis, eLearners.com – Effective Marketing of Online Programs – C.J. will present an overview of marketing online programs. What tools are available for marketing online? What are the different advertising pricing models and student acquisition strategies used?

Sean Gallagher, Eduventures – The Facts about Marketing Online Programs – What methods have shown to work? What does the data tell us? What are most schools doing now? What is the selection criteria that students use?

Leslie Granese, UMassOnline – Experiences Shared from a Successful Marketing Program – A practical perspective on what it takes to implement a successful online program. Including information for faculty and administration that are part of the online program that will help them understand their roles in the process.
