Theological Book Sparks Controversy; Offers New Ideas

The Gospel of the Four”, an innovative new theological book by Peter B. Jones, lays the books of the four gospels side by side for comparison, revealing startling new information that could turn Christian theology on its ear.

(PRWEB) October 13, 2004 -- After 17 years of research and study, author Peter B. Jones has written an unprecedented new book paralleling the events and teachings of the four Gospels into a single, cohesive theological book. Because the four Gospels are usually read separately, it is frequently difficult for readers to follow the sequence, as well as the differences and similarities, of the separate accounts.

The theological book, entitled The Gospel of the Four”, is a well-researched and scholarly presentation of the New Testament that sheds new light on the four Gospels by streamlining their teachings and making comparisons between the incidents and journeys of Jesus and his disciples much easier. Jones carefully identifies and explains the differences and anomalies between the four Gospels frequently mentioned by believers in his innovative theological book with detail and verse cross-referencing that allows the reader—be they scholar or layman—to easily access and understand important and sometimes startling information regarding the four Gospels captured within the new theological book.

Christine F. Payne, a reviewer of The Gospel of the Four”, said, This (theological) book saves a lot of time; instead of finding one Gospel reference and then thumbing through ones Bible searching for the same quote in another Gospel, in this book they are all grouped, enabling the student to make detailed comparisons. Coupled with scholarly observations and not without some new controversy, this reference work provides inspirational and thought-provoking reading.”

Some of the controversial claims made within the theological book after comparing the records of the four Gospels include:

·   The true origin of Lent and why it may be observed incorrectly
·   What actually happened surrounding the Nativity accounts
·   The correct number of miracles performed by Jesus Christ
·   Where the narrative of Lukes Central Section actually takes place
·   How Jesus presented Himself as the Lamb four days before the Passover
·   How Jesus really died

A free sample chapter of the theological book concerning the death of Jesus Christ as described by the four Gospels is available online at the New Millennium website, www.new-millennium.co.uk, where The Gospel of the Four” is also available for purchase.
