After months of intense competition from over 60 great cities across the USA, Leisure Technician LLC, owner and operator of the Beer Hall of Fame, U.S. Beer Drinking Team, Beer Radio and Beer Television has initiated negotiations with a prominent business development team led by Randall Herbst of the Vision Implementation Group LLC (VIG) to have Cincinnati, Ohio as the permanent host city for the Beer Hall of Fame.
Beer Hall of Fame Project Manager, Joe Gardenghi, of Maryland based Leisure Technician, LLC stated, We are excited to be in negotiations with Randall and VIG to bring the Beer Hall of Fame to Cincinnati. VIGs proposal and vision is compelling as well as passionate. This energy and conviction to the project will do well to enhance Cincinnatis long-standing beer heritage. As permanent Host City to the Beer Hall of Fame, Cincinnati will become the ultimate travel and tourism destination for 90,000,000 million beer drinkers in the USA and upwards of 500 million more from around the world, many of which travel to Cincinnati for business and pleasure currently."
The Beer Hall of Fame will comprise of over 75,000 square feet of primary use for an International theme food court complimented by five to seven international restaurants. Additionally there will be up to 35,000 square feet devoted to on site micro brewing activities that will be licensed and endorsed by the Beer Hall of Fame voting board members for on-premise consumption in all Beer Hall of Fame restaurants, classroom / course venues of cooking and home-brewing.
Leisure Technician LLC takes an admirable responsibility in educating the consumer and students of The University of Beer which will be located within the Beer Hall of Fame. Their programs will be an asset to Cincinnati, the region and all visitors by stressing and educating the public about responsibility" Herbst continued. Terms of the deal will not be disclosed. Herbst did comment, we have not nor do we intend to request any grant money from the city of Cincinnati or Hamilton County, our intent is to stay in the private and state legislated lending arena."
FRCH Worldwide Design of Cincinnati has been the conceptual design team to date. Jim Fitzgerald, Managing Principal of FRCH states, FRCH has a passion for renovations and breathing new life into not just buildings but moreover an area." Fitzgerald continued, our job as directed by Mr. Herbst is to create a sense of place", that is to say for example, when you walk into Music Hall you feel you have arrived in a sense of place. The same applies to Paul Brown Stadium, Great American BallPark, Old Crosley Field, The Newport Aquarium, Aronoff Center and of course the National Freedom Center. Nations Micro Brewery and the Beer Hall of Fame is international in scope and the history of brewing pre-dates the birth of Christ by 2,000 years." Further, we believe there are some exciting historical, educational, geo political and entertaining opportunities to create place, create destination and to retain consumer and tourism in downtown Cincinnati."
Another local professional, Dr. Cynthia Goodman, President of Goodman/Rutt Exhibits and Technologies, LLC has been engaged by the Herbst, Vision Implementation Group led team to round out this all Cincinnati based effort. Randall Herbst the VIG Development Principal felt very strongly that should Cincinnati be awarded this honor that we should do our very best to use Queen City corporations and individuals to make it all happen" commented Ms. Goodman. The Beer Hall of Fame entertainment complex will house fine beer themed international restaurants, Nations Micro Brewery, a collection of beer memorabilia, Beer Radio and Beer Television broadcasting studios, music and entertainment venues, a beer education and responsibility center, a world record selection of beer, the Beer Hall of Fame and induction center.
