absoluteTools-Sendmail is a new ActiveX COM control that enables a programmer to send mail messages from Windows applications, with attachments and inline images or css in a very easy way.
(PRWEB) October 16, 2004 -- Sending mail messages from a Windows application has always been a tedious task: usually the programmer had to choose between using a MAPI compliant external application or manually interfacing with a SMTP server. The former option limits the audience to those who have such an application already installed, while the latter requires a good knowledge of sockets and of the SMTP protocol, and some tools to manage MIME encoding of attachments and inline images.
With absoluteTools-Sendmail from absolutePDF the task of sending mails from Windows applications is greatly simplified: just instantiate the control, set sender, recipients and text, add all the attachments and send the email with just a few lines of code. All relevant aspects of the email can be controlled, like body format, cc and bcc, reply-to.
In addition, the control has an unique auto-harvesting feature: just create locally an HTML page for the email body, with all the images and css files needed, and the control will automatically gather all local referenced images and css files and embed them in the email.
