Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY is hosting its first support group for individuals recovering from a stroke on Tuesday, October 19 at 11:00 am. The newly formed support group is provided by Good Samaritan Hospital free of charge and will meet on a monthly basis in the hospital auditorium.

The newly formed support group is provided by Good Samaritan Hospital free of charge and will meet on a monthly basis in the hospital auditorium.
The groups first meeting will include a presentation by Dr. Stuart Lestch, MD. Dr. Lestch will provide an overview of what physically happens to the body during and after experiencing a stroke as well as the steps toward recovery.
The road to regaining independence, mobility and strength following a stroke is often a difficult one," Dr. Lestch said. The support group will help people gather strength by sharing with others experiencing the same condition."
Good Samaritan Hospital offers a number of rehabilitation programs for stoke victims, including physical, occupational and speech therapy.
