Illicit Rite Rocks the Internet

Rocketing metal warriors, Illicit Rite, announces new web presences for their juiced-up, darkside-ride.

(PRWEB) October 26, 2004 -- Hailing from Ringgold, Georgia, the foursome carries a head-banging suitcase full of high-energy, stinging original songs coupled with power dripping covers. Their new website, www.illicitrite.com, along with supporting sites, www.myspace.com/illicitrite and www.isound.com/music/illicit_rite/ are showing their unique brand of music, which is described as a deep and vicious collision of vampire and epic war history, ripped with a steady current of traditional and black metal, all meshed with full throttle death metal. These sites feature live chats (with the band), music forums, streaming MP3's, and free Downloads, the chance to get close and personal. Also, log on to www.garageband.com listen, review and vote for the song "Desecration".

The barrage is led by 16-year-old phenomenon and lead guitarist, Zach Burkett, who joined the group at the fledgling age of 13. Outplaying guitar veterans three times his age, critics claim his driving force, in your face style, is reminiscent of the late Crazy Train" Randy Rhodes. Sponsored by Dean Guitars, Zachs uber-talented fingers leaves fans forgetting hes barely old enough to drive, and hypnotized and baked in power chords and stone cold riffs.

To hear Zach play is a religious experience in itself," lead vocalist Justin Lewis said. Its just unbelievable what that kid can do."

Lewis, a self-described time bomb on lyrical steroids, handles the mike in front of mega-bassist Paul Burkett, and his father Jim, who brings his 36 years drumming experience to the group.

Illicit Rite, formerly known as 15 on the Down, has rocked thousands of fans at over 100 shows in the Southeast. Some of the highlights of which include, two performances at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga in 2003 and 2004, a high-energy session at the legendary Florida roadhouse Flora-Bama last year, and an equally raucous Spring Break performance in Panama City in 2004.
