The @RFID SUMMIT 2004 is co-organized by @RFID Focus (http://www.rfidfocus.com)
and the Singapore Manufacturers Federation (http://www.smafederation.org.sg)Additional information on the summit is available at http://www.rfidsummitseries.com

The RFID Master Class will include two days of highly instructive sessions on latest developments in the Radio Frequency Identification technology and implementations - including RFID Infrastructure Planning, EPC Global Network, Business Value of RFID, RFID Vendor Selection , Middleware requirements and Integration issues.

The goal of the training classes is to give executives, managers and those responsible such as System Managers, System Engineers, Project and Program Managers for supervising RFID implementations a strong grounding in the fundamentals of RFID and EPC technologies, so they can evaluate vendors, develop a business case and begin a successful pilot program or deployment.

The RFID Master Class Training is an informative and objective training program consisting of executive and technical sessions that help to answer:
• The value of RFID and how it works?
• How to practically deploy RFID technology?
• How to re-engineer various business processes?
• What are the evolving EPC standards?
• How to build an infrastructure designed to handle the huge amount of data that RFID will generate?
• What are the integration challenges?

Over the next five years, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is likely to have a major impact on any business or enterprise involved in the production, movement or sale of physical goods and Singapore, as a key manufacturing center and the worlds second busiest port and key logistics hub will be directly affected. RFID is already being adopted by international retailers, including Metro Group and Tesco in Europe and Wal-Mart, Target and Albertsons in the United States and by leading manufacturers, such as Gillette, Hewlett-Packard, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, Kraft Foods, Nestle, Procter & Gamble and Unilever as well as the U.S. Department of Defense.

As with any new technology, businesses face real challenges if they are to leverage and benefit from RFID. Much will depend on collaboration between trading partners, suppliers and customers. Standards for RFID are still being developed. Significant investments in hardware, software and human resources are required.

eSmart Source offers RFID Workshop all over the world and RFID Made Easy in San Francisco Bay area as well as Portland Oregon. eSmart Source will be offering the courses in cities accross the US in 2005.
