This Friday night and every Friday night throughout November, you can soothe your beaten soul at Club Vertigo at 126 State Street in Boston by sharing your evening and your reality whipped butt with stars of the Reality TV Show, MTVs Real World, Rapper Akinyele, and LAs famous DJ David Sinatra on Reality Bites Friday.
This Friday night David Burns and the cute but hated blonde from Walla Walla, Washington, Tonya, will appear at Club Vertigo for the first Reality Bites event.
David Burns grew up in Charleston, Massachusetts and has held starring roles in the Real World/Road Rules Challenge (1998) – (RW7) Seasons 1,3, and 8 and The Real World (1992) – Season 7 – Seattle. He was a guest star in the Real World: the Lost Season (2002) and hosted the Real World/ Road Rules Casting Special 2000 and the Real World You Never Saw: Boston and Seattle. Burns co-starred in several episodes of the hit TV Series, Strong Medicine and had acting roles in movies and mini-series including The Private Public and Aimee Semple McPherson. He is also the author of two books, Feeling Good Mood Therapy and Feeling Good Handbook.
Tonya hails from Walla Walla, Washington and has the girl-next-door innocence that makes you wonder how she ever made it to the windy city of Chicago. But her Barbie doll exterior belies the intelligence, strength and complexity of a woman who spent most of her years in the foster care system and moved out on her own at the age of 17. Shortly after high school Tonya began attending EMT and nursing school, since her last appearance on MTVs Real World she has moved to LA and is completing her nursing clinicals and has a fitness DVD coming out soon. As if spending the night with two of MTVs Real Worlds best isnt enough, Akinyele, a no-drink, no-drugs rapper will be performing his rap classic, ‘Put It In Your Mouth and other great hits. Akinyele first started rhyming after hearing ‘Rappers Delight for the first time and he went to the same high school as Nas, Kool G Rap and Large Professor working together as part of a team and individually. Together with Nas, he rapped on Main Sources ‘Live at the BBQ cut from breaking atoms. Later, when Akinyele signed with Interscope, he enlisted the production services of Large Professor and introduced his trademark blend of sprightly braggadocio, often punctuated by a ‘drop wherein his voice lowered in pitch to emphasize a key word.
