Hart Ski Manufacturing LLC Names Adsoka, Inc. Agency of Record

Advertising Agency Lands New Account - Long time snowsports brand Hart returns with new products and same respected great approach - LOVE THE SNOW

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) November 20, 2004 -- Minnesota's well-known snowsport brand, Hart Skis, has selected marketing design communications firm Adsoka, Inc. as their agency of record. Terms were not disclosed.

Hart's fiftieth anniversary of ski manufacturing is in 2005. New, expanded product lines as well as product innovations are planned to celebrate the brand's return.

The Hart Ski brand 'retired' in the late 1990s after decades of brand ownership changes. The last Olympic appearance for Hart Skis was in the 1994 Lillehammer, Norway Winter Games. Despite the skis not being available, consumer awareness of the brand remains extremely strong. The original Hart ski company was started in Minnesota in the 1940s and began manufacturing skis in the mid-50s.

Products include Javelin and Gremlin lines of skis and snowboards. Popular products for children (Goblin and Hobgoblin) and the Lady Hart product return as well as highly sought after freestyle skis. Hart skis have a long history of being the freestyler's ski of choice. New products include snowboards and the introduction of what may be the industry's largest ski for powder skiing, the aptly named Big Phatty.

Ski enthusiast, Bill Holmberg, grandson of Hart's founder obtained the rights to the brand and formed a team to organize the brand's return. The management team includes veterans from Rollerblade, Imation and Microsoft. At its peak, Hart Skis held nearly 40% of the total ski sales market. The industry has seen continued growth with the introduction of snowboarding and specialized merchandise.

Adsoka, Inc. was sought out to help build the brand in support of Hart's return to the market. Adsoka designs fully integrated brand communications. The Hart campaign includes market research, identity design, online, in person and in print marketing efforts that start rolling out in the next few weeks.
