The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" Star Will Volunteer Time and Talent to Further Organizations Commitment to Eliminate Poverty Housing
Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) November 22, 2004 -- Paige Hemmis, ABCs Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (http://abc.go.com/primetime/xtremehome/bios/paige_hemmis.html,) has a new role as spokesperson for Habitat For Humanitys South Bay/Long Beach affiliate. Paige will volunteer her time and carpentry skills on building sites as well as participate in public service announcements to support the organizations local affiliate. Paige began working with Habitat for Humanity in May 2004, leading an all-women build in Long Beach as part of Hollywood for Habitat for Humanitys six homes in six weeks Blitz Build.
Paige volunteered for another all-women build in Detroit, while on location with production of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" last August. In the fall, she supported the opening of its Home Improvement retail store in Gardena, California with a local cable commercial. When the South Bay/Long Beach affiliate asked Paige to become their official spokesperson, she gladly accepted.
