Professional Standards Institute today announced the November 26th release of a new certification program for Software.

(PRWEB) November 26, 2004 -- The computer software business is booming and new software programs are being developed and released to the market daily. There are literally hundreds of software download sites on the Internet and they are growing at an alarming rate. How do users know that a software product will not trash their system or install a virus or spy-ware?

The Software Certification Requirements cover 40 different items in seven areas. The areas covered include Installation and Un-Installation, Documentation, Program Operation, Security, Backup and Recovery, Reports, and Customer Support. There are five mandatory requirements that must be met for certification.
