The Happiness Show, The World's First Television Program Entirely About Happiness, Goes Global

The worlds first cable television program entirely about becoming happier is streaming all of its over sixty episodes to everyone, for free, from its new website.

(PRWEB) December 5, 2004 -- The Happiness Show, the worlds first television program entirely devoted to helping viewers become happier, has come to the Internet. On December 2, 2004, producer George Ortega made all of his over sixty half-hour episodes available for free to the world through the programs new website.

The program, which premiered May 1, 2003, on White Plains, New York Cable Channel 76, presents social science based advice about how individuals can become much happier. Now hosted by Mr. Ortega and Lionel Ketchian, the show also promotes societal happiness-increase strategies like teaching happiness in schools.

According to Mr. Ortega, All of the over sixty episodes taped so far will be available for free to every Internet customer in both streaming audio and video." Streaming media technology," Ortega adds, is perfect for presenting the shows because it lets surfers begin viewing usually within a minute of clicking their selection."

Researchers have found," Ortega explains, that the average level of happiness in the world is under 65 percent, and about 70 percent in the United States. Also, Americans report feeling happy only about 54 percent of their waking days." However, Mr. Ortega emphasizes that "Using experiment-based techniques from studies published in professional psychology journals, we can all easily become much happier."

Ortega adds that "Happiness is not really about the advantages enjoyed only by the worlds richer countries. In fact, the University of Michigans prestigious World Values Surveys, directed by Dr. Ron Inglehart, recently published findings listing the five happiest countries in the world to be Nigeria, Mexico, Venezuela, El Salvador, and Puerto Rico - quite poor countries."

Ortega, a happiness researcher himself, suggests that viewers watch his special Bliss Mantra Method" episode which presents a simple but powerful meditation-based strategy for becoming happier. By marketing a variety of happiness-increase methods, he predicts that "entrepreneurs are poised to begin making huge profits as consumers become more aware that they can become much happier through simple classroom training.

The shows website is also a clearing house for knowledge about happiness. From lists of happiness researchers and promoters to many specific strategies for becoming happier, the site presents a wealth of information on happiness and provides many links to other important happiness resources available through the Internet.

Aristotle considered happiness the highest good." According to Mr. Ortega The world is finally awakening to the fact that happiness is our most cherished desire, and that becoming much happier is easier than most of us realize." Thanks to The Happiness Shows new website, the keys to happiness will now be much more accessible, for free, to people everywhere.
