Silanis Technology is hosting a web seminar on December 8, 2004, entitled The Power of Electronic Contracting. The complimentary web seminar will share how large organizations are using electronic contracting today to reduce costs, improve vendor relationships, reduce risks and achieve greater efficiencies.

Montreal, QC (PRWEB) December 1, 2004 -- Silanis Technology, the market leader in automating business approval processes, today announced an upcoming web seminar entitled The Power of Electronic Contracting. Scheduled for December 8, 2004, the complimentary web seminar will share how large organizations are using electronic contracting today to reduce costs, improve vendor relationships, reduce risks and achieve greater efficiencies. Organizations will also learn about recommended approaches for implementing an electronic contracting solution and will be presented with a case study of the General Services Administration Federal Supply Service (GSA-FSS).

The General Services Administration is the largest contracting organization in the world. Under GSA Schedules - master contracts that define delivery and quantity pricing – the Agency establishes long-term, government-wide contracts with commercial firms to provide access to over four million commercial services and products. Since July 2004, GSA has been using electronic contracting to manage new applications from contractors and to handle modifications to existing contractors GSA schedules. This has led to greater efficiencies and reduced costs.

Commerce is built on agreements between parties, and contracts often provide the foundation for these agreements. It is critical that contracting does not slow down operations and add inefficiencies,” said Tommy Petrogiannis. Organizations that heavily rely on relationships with suppliers and other business partners have the opportunity to gain significant benefits from adding electronic approvals to their contracting processes.”

The web seminar runs from 12 noon till one oclock EST on Wednesday, December 8, 2004. For more information or to register, please visit: www.silanis.com/webseminar/
