Got What It Takes Announces Deadline Extension

Got What It Takes International Music Search is extending it's November 30/04 deadline for original and non-original submissions to March 31, 2005.

(PRWEB) December 3, 2004 -- Got What It Takes International Music Competition is extending it's November 30, 2004 deadline to March 31, 2005. The competition is a unique opportunity for both original and non-original artists to be awarded for their music talents and fans to be appreciated for their efforts. A panel of appointed judges will choose a total of 47 winners to receive cash, prizes and awards.

The unique nature of Got What It Takes allows amateur and professional, original and non-original artists to participate. Original musicians, vocalists and singers/songwriters are sought to enter into any one or more of 8 categories. Non-original musicians and vocalists are sought to enter into any one or more of 7 categories.

Over $60,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to two overall Grand Prize Winners, one original and one non-original, and to 45 first, second and third place winners from each of the categories. Grand Prize Winners will each receive $10,000 cash, a sound recording system, subscriptions to TAXI.com, Broadjam.com, Onlinegigs.com, and an official Got What It Takes Award plaque. First, second and third place winners will each receive cash awards of $500, $300 and $200 consecutively, along with a Got What it Takes t-shirt and plaque.

Got What It Takes offers cash and prizes for those who want to take part in musicians getting recognition. Every entry received stating the name of a registered promoter will be tabulated to determine Got What It Takes Promoters of the year. Two Grand Prize Promoters will be awarded $3000 each, one for the promotion of an original artist or band and one for a non-original artists or band, t-shirts and official Got What It Takes Certificates.

GotWhatItTakes sponsors and prize associates include SonicBids, Roland, Taxi, Broadjam, and OnlineGigs. Our Judging panel includes Babukishan, renowned music designer, singer and author in both the recording and film industries in India, radio industry professionals and online promoters HearsayMusic and GetMeMusic.

GotWhatItTakes accepts payment through SonicBids or via postal service. The contest closes March 31, 2005. Winning entries will be notified by May 30, 2005 and announced via print, online and in our year-end email newsletter.
