All you have to do is the arranging. Group your arranged pieces according to thickness, and the Materials List shows the resulting size of the group. Cutting Diagrams can save you a lot of time.

Also by request: a Zoom Tool. Now you can zoom to a particular spot in your drawing. This used to take several steps. Now, simply select the tool and click on a point. Your drawing will grow five times larger, centered on that point. You can also zoom to a rectangular area of your choice.
