Design Intuition® Version 1.4 Now Available

Design Intuition® is CAD for woodworkers. Version 1.4 offers many new, time-saving features. Cutting Diagrams allow you to quickly determine how you will cut the pieces of your design from stock material. The new Zoom tool makes it easy to see and alter details of your design.

(PRWEB) December 4, 2004 -- At last, Cutting Diagrams! With version 1.4, your design files automatically contain an entire second copy of all your pieces, already (and always) flattened for you. All you have to do is the arranging. Group your arranged pieces according to thickness, and the Materials List shows the resulting size of the group. Cutting Diagrams can save you a lot of time.

"I received an email from a customer, in which he described how, using Design Intuition®, he duplicated his finished design file and, in the duplicate, flattened out his plywood pieces and arranged them so that, when he cut them from a piece of stock plywood, he wasted as little as possible," says Sand, author of Design Intuition®, CAD for woodworkers. Nearly all of this is now built in...

Also by request: a Zoom Tool. Now you can zoom to a particular spot in your drawing. This used to take several steps. Now, simply select the tool and click on a point. Your drawing will grow five times larger, centered on that point. You can also zoom to a rectangular area of your choice.

Many other enhancements have been added which will save you time or simplify your work or improve the intuitiveness of Design Intuition®. Far too numerous to describe here, more details are available on our web site's download page.

"Our goal here at GizmoLab is to create a product with a definite joy-of-use. Many (!) people have written us (unsolicited!) descriptions of their experience which sound as though, at least for them, we are achieving our goal," says Sand.
