Vibren Technologies Experiences Surge in Embedded Flash Projects

Boxborough, MA (PRWEB) December 10, 2004 -- Vibren Technologies, an industry leader in embedded systems engineering, today announced unprecedented growth in embedded Macromedia Flash projects. According to the company Macromedia Flash projects on embedded devices have increased exponentially, with project volume continuing to grow. This news follows quickly on the heels of Vibrens deal with Macromedia to distribute and support orders for smaller-volume Macromedia licenses for embedded devices.

Tom DeSisto, Vibrens vice president of business development said, Our current experience tells us that the market for non-PC devices that use Flash is just starting to take off. Were seeing more innovative products on a daily basis than weve ever seen in the embedded devices market, everything from point of sale LCD signs to kids toys."

DeSisto continued, Embedded technology is becoming pervasive for so many consumer and industrial products. The simplicity and richness of a Flash interface makes devices more user-friendly and enhances the customers experience with rich content."

Vibrens many embedded Flash projects span a range of product types and complexities. In just the past 30 days Vibren has optimized one of the worlds fastest microprocessors to run Flash and transformed tablet PCs into web browsing devices that can be used as research devices, personal organizers or desktop PC replacements.

For one organization Vibren has helped turn price checking systems into point-of-sale information stations that cross-sell complimentary products and alert shoppers to sales of similar products.

Even further evidence of the rapid adoption of embedded Flash exists in the capital markets. Recently Vibren completed a Flash project for a mobile device that stock traders will soon use on trading floors to gather real-time data and make trading decisions on the spot.

On the consumer front, projects under way at Vibren foretell that airlines will soon expand entertainment choices with small-screen devices, making it possible for more passengers to personalize entertainment while in transit.

In the expanding market of digital signs, embedded Flash is helping many business replace paper-based posters and newsletters with LCD displays. Businesses are now addressing customers with a variety of targeted, time sensitive messages and pertinent information.
