The Minnesota Geek Grant is a program that awards technology products and services to Minnesota non-profit organizations. Our goal is to enable non-profit organizations to take advantage of the tremendous opportunities that modern technology can bring.

(PRWEB) December 9, 2004 -- The Minnesota Geek Grant is a program that awards technology products and services to Minnesota non-profit organizations. Our goal is to enable non-profit organizations to take advantage of the tremendous opportunities that modern technology can bring. We see the tremendous good that these organizations do in our community and want to help them out in the way we know best: leveraging technology.

The first annual award will be handed out in February 2005 and will be given to a single non-profit organization. The recipient will be chosen by a board of representatives from the sponsoring companies based on the contents of the applications. The award consists of:

  • $5000 worth of web development and graphic design provided by Myriad Intellect, Inc. This can be a new site or a remodeling of an existing site.
  • 1 year's web hosting provided by pajunas interactive, inc.

All applying organizations will receive our free software bundle including free anti-virus software, office software and other software utilities.

To apply for the 2005 Minnesota Geek Grant, please send a short essay describing your organization, what you do, and how the grant award would be used in your organization to the email address listed at http://www.geekgrant.com.

The answer was to provide the best hardware, connectivity and tools to help organizations spread their message. Allie built a robust and secure hosting platform using open-source software and industry best practices and grows her business through the local community and by helping the causes she is most interested in supporting.
