This online showcase includes streaming video of an interview between the current featured artist, Katrina Carlson and Rockinmoms.com founder, Tiffany Petrossi. Six times a year an artist is chosen to be featured on the website. Katrina Carlson, L.A. Singer-Songwriter(http://www.katrinacarlson.com) and mother of two, is the current featured artist. She has released two full length albums, "Apples for Eve"(2001), "Untucked" (2003 Katophonic Records ) and her new hit single, "Drive" can be heard on radio stations across the country.
The Rockin' Moms project and website was founded in 2004 and strives to promote, acknowledge and inspire mothers making music. "The featured artist spotlight is another way rockinmoms.com can help promote, showcase and highlight the careers of moms that rock. After, I had the opportunity to interview and meet Katrina, I was inspired myself," gleams Singer/Songwriter and founder, Tiffany Petrossi. Currently, the site lists mothers making music from around the country and includes Rockin' Mom's news, tips and links to a yahoo online group where Rockin' Moms and their supporters can connect, promote and exchange stories etc...
Rockinmoms.com's featured artist spotlight will include either a live taped interview with the artist and/or a recorded audio track for visitors to listen to. "I was thrilled to include streaming media as part of the feature. I think it is a fresh, an entertaining way to highlight an artist's talents and personae," states Petrossi. The website also includes the artist's biography and promotional photographs to view.
