ACOM Solutions, Inc. is the leading provider of solutions that enable banks and credit unions to produce customer checks and other financial documents on site, creating a new profit center and enhancing customer service. The Webinar series spells out details on how the systems work and what the institutions have to gain.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 10, 2004 -- The Financial Documents Division of ACOM Solutions, Inc. has commenced a monthly live webinar series for bank and credit union executives that is designed to increase understanding of how in-house check production solutions fit into financial institutions operations, how they work, and how they contribute to non-interest revenue and improved customer service while staking out a stronger competitive position for institutions.

According to Division Vice President and General Manager Mark Firmin, revenues from inhouse check printing solutions can be significant: a $200 million institution with 10,000 checking accounts potentially can recapture $50-$75,000 in lost revenues annually from checkbook orders.

Many banks feel that they cannot compete with the discount vendors that advertise in mailer coupon packs, newspapers and on the web," he said, but in virtually all cases, the economics are decidedly in favor of the in-house solution."

Competing with discount vendors is easier now than ever, he added, noting that the quality issues that plague many people who buy these checks become even more severe under the rigors of check imaging introduced by the Federal governments Check 21 initiative.

In the past," he said, quality problems simply meant an additional cost to the bank which often had to manually key in the check information. Now, poor quality can make imaging impossible, essentially blocking the orderly flow of electronic banking information."

These types of subjects and more are covered in depth in the hour-long webinars, which also include a case history of a successful bank using an in-house system as well as an on-line question/answer forum.
