New Recruitment Web Site Targets Bloggers

Weblogging veteran Jeremy Wright teams with www.recruiting.com to launch job site for bloggers.

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) December 13, 2004 -- Blogger-Jobs.com (www.blogger-jobs.com), a Web site launched last month by veteran weblogger Jeremy Wright and www.recruiting.com, provides a recruitment service that matches employers with bloggers. Blogger-Jobs.com capitalizes on the exponential growth of weblogs – there are over four million blogs today compared to just 125,000 in March 2003 – to place candidates in jobs that are suited to bloggers or are posted by bloggers.

Corporate weblogs and sponsored blogs are coming online at a staggering rate. Both companies and individuals are beginning to recognize the value of hiring someone to blog on their Web site," said Wright. Additionally, many bloggers have skills, such as good writing and communication skills, that are in high demand in the workplace."

Blogger-Jobs.com, the first recruiting site to target bloggers, was started by Wright, one of the technology industrys most recognizable bloggers, and Jason Davis, owner of the active recruiting weblog, www.recruiting.com. Blogger-Jobs.com has successfully placed bloggers in engineering jobs in the high-tech sector, but is seeing increased interest from a variety of industries.

Big technology companies like Google, Microsoft and Amazon are posting jobs with Blogger-Jobs.com because they know that weblogs are an excellent way to connect with the tech community," said Davis. But, were also working with companies looking for writers and marketers."

The ‘Blogosphere features many talented and entrepreneurial minds. Blogger-Jobs.com gave us an excellent way to connect with these individuals and we have been very pleased with the feedback," said Torsten Jacobi, Marketing and Sales, 21Publish Inc.

About Blogger-Jobs.com
Blogger-Jobs.com (www.blogger-jobs.com) is a joint venture between blogger Jeremy Wright and Jason Davis of www.recruiting.com. In just one month, Blogger-Jobs.com has placed a number of candidates with companies and has posted jobs for Microsoft, Google and Amazon.

Wright is one of the business and tech industrys most recognized bloggers. Wright's weblog, www.Ensight.org, recently made international news by being the first blog to be sold. Wright raised the profile of corporate blogging by auctioning his blogging services on eBay. More than three million people read his commentaries on business and technology in various magazines, newspapers and Web sites every month.

Davis has been a recruiter in the semiconductor industry for over a decade. He has been running his own recruiting firm since 1997 and launched the Semiconductor Jobs Blog www.semiconductorjobs.com and www.recruiting.com last year.
