(PRWEB) December 10, 2004 -- As millions of students prepare for the challenge of a new SAT writing section, a Florida-based editing company, Essay101.com, is poised to become the industry leader in providing writing evaluation services on behalf of test prep providers throughout the country.
When the College Board recently announced it would add a writing section to the SAT, Essay101s test prep partners knew where to turn. In response to these requests, Essay101 expanded its service offering to include essay evaluation services for the new writing section. Essay101 developed a rigorous editor training program and created an online editing process specifically geared to evaluating the New SAT essays. Weve designed the process to be very easy to use and quite customer friendly," says Richard Green, the Companys President and CEO. Essay101 has an average turnaround time of 36 hours per essay, which it believes is among the best in the business. The Company offers several different packages for evaluating essays, starting with a basic package that is a simple grading of the essay according to the criteria established by the College Board. Other packages include an overall critique of the essay, as well as a line-by-line edit and commentary.
Originally, Essay101 incorporated in the summer of 2000 to fill the growing demand for assistance with college admissions essays. Integral to its growth strategy, Essay101 formed partnerships with national and regional test prep providers that wanted to privately label the Companys professional essay evaluation services under their own name. Since 2002, Essay101 has seen a five-fold increase in its clients and nearly a ten-fold increase in its student-base. Even more recently, though, the new SAT format has sparked considerable interest in the companys services. In the last three months, to keep pace with demand we have had to really push our editor recruiting efforts into high gear," says Christopher Bledsoe, one of Essay101s four original founders. The company expects to employ roughly 100 editors by January 2005, and possibly more as new demand continues to materialize.
Because of the changes set forth by the College Board, Essay101 expects over $750,000 in revenue in 2005 solely from its New SAT business. Its clients consist of nationwide test prep providers, as well as more regionally focused providers.
